Singapore, Holland Village - Baker & Cook, Chip Bee Gardens

The founder of Baker & Cook, Dean Brettschneider, is a New Zealand born renowned baker.  A business idea struck him during a 2011 visit at Singapore and since the start of first outlet in 2012, the business has grown rapidly, including a Baking & Cooking School and a franchise in Manila.

This place was introduced to us, a few years ago, by a friend who practices pilates at this area.  We have since been a patron, for it serves one of the best cappuccino that I have tasted.  The size listed on its menu is for a small cup (S$4.50), there are a total of 3 sizes, just add S$1 for every bigger serving, for example, regular cappuccino is S$5.50, while large, only available in takeaway cup, costs S$6.50.

While we love its cappuccino, its fame lies with its baked products.  The prices may be at a premium but the taste and texture of its breads are awesome,  We would usually order one of its light & fluffy butter croissant (S$3.80) to go along with our cappuccino.

Prices of all items are GST inclusive and no service charge.  Since there is no table service, each table is set with cutlery, napkins and there is a self service corner with complimentary iced water.
