5D Cruise Trip - Voyager of the Seas

This was our 1st trip onboard Voyager of the Seas and our 5th with Royal Caribbean Cruise.  This trip was made possible on a Thursday afternoon when we went for Ikea Singapore's 40th party at Alexandra.

While having coffee break at Ikea cafe, we somehow struck up a conversation with a cheerful retired couple sitting next to us.  The lady told me that her elder sister had invited her to go on a mid-May cruise trip but she could not make it.  That night, I went to check the cruise prices but could not decide if we wanna go, because Voyager of the Seas has similar facilities and activities as Mariner of the Seas (which we just went during Feb-18).  The following night, before gone to sleep, I browsed again, the prices had dropped tremendously!  And so we booked on 12-May-18 and went on the trip on 14-May-18.

Voyager of the Seas is 19 years old, despite a few overhauls, its hardware do look more dated than its sister ship, Mariner of the Seas.  Voyager also has fewer facilities than Mariner but it has more staterooms and thus a higher capacity as compared to Mariner.

On our recent trips on both Voyager and Mariner, we noted the followings.
Voyager won on room comfort.  On our last trip onboard Mariner, not sure if it were the engine or room position, we felt a lot of vibration and heard engine noise and that had affected our sleep.
Voyager's Windjammer was cleaner and food presentation was better.  Taste wise, both were good. (Windjammer on Legend of the Seas was still the best)
Among the RCC ships that we had taken, we felt that Voyager served the best desserts.

Conclusion, even though the ship may be dated and has fewer facilities, it has won us over by the services provided.
